Architectural Assistant / Student Opportunity

Affordable Architectural is looking for an architecture or architectural technology student, graduate or aspiring residential designer to support a growing workload on a flexible, self-employed basis.

The opportunity is initially trial-based. Training, guidance and feedback are provided, with responsibility increasing as your skills and confidence develop. You do not need to be professionally qualified or have previous professional experience.

We value initiative, reliability, curiosity and clear communication. The aim is to learn how projects progress from initial enquiry through planning and delivery, rather than simply producing drawings without context.

Affordable Architectural is based near Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. A substantial amount of this role can be completed remotely, with flexibility that may work alongside university or other commitments.

Applicants should be able to attend an interview in Wolverhampton or the surrounding area. Depending on the role and project, occasional local site visits, measured surveys or meetings may be required. Access to transport is advantageous.

Hours and workload depend on availability and individual project requirements. Any trial arrangement and fees should be discussed and agreed before work begins.
